• SENDING STATIONERY E-MAIL TO AOL USERS

Thank you for these fantastic instructions Milton!

    • Start a new stationery e-mail and type the message you want to send to an AOL user.
    • Send the email to YOURSELF. [Sending it to yourself first is necessary in order for the stationery scrolling, etc. to work properly as an attachment.]
    • As soon as the email finishes sending, go to your "Sent" folder and right click that e-mail, then click "forward as attachment"
    • A new blank email will come up with the stationery e-mail showing as an attachment.
    • Enter the address of the AOL user you want to send it to and then type a brief message/explanation if you wish.
    • Send the e-mail.
    • If you already have a stationery email in one of your folders (Sent, Inbox, etc), just open that folder and right click the e-mail you want to forward to the AOL user.  Click "forward as attachment".
    • A blank email will come up. Enter the AOL user's address, type any message you want to and SEND.
When the AOL user gets one of your attached e-mails, you will need to remind them to do the following:
    • Click the "Download now" button on their AOL screen.
    • A message may come up which says: "Downloading to Outlook Express. Do you want this to be the default for downloading this type of file?"   They should click "YES".
    • The next time you send them attached stationery email, all they need to do is click the "Download now" button on the AOL screen and the stationery email should automatically open with Outlook Express. The scrolling, pictures, message and music will appear just as it normally does on your computer. When they are finished viewing your email, they would return to their normal AOL screen. What's with the fascination with AOL anyway?  I guess it is perceived to be fashionable. We all know that Outlook Express is better!
