No Pictures and/or Red X's

 

If you just downloaded Windows XP, Outlook express 6 then change your security settings to:  Tools, Options, Security, Internet zone and NOT restricted zone.

If you have installed Hotbar, or any program like it and are getting red x's all of a sudden.  You will need to uninstall it and then change your settings to the ones below:

In your Outlook Express, look at the top menu  and Choose "Tools" then
choose "Options".
Now, click the tab that says "Compose" and in the middle of this window make
sure NO boxes are checked! You may find the little box in the middle called
"Mail" will be checked. If so, uncheck it.

Now, click the tab that says "Send" and near the middle you will see a
button called "HTML Settings".  Click that button and make sure the little
box is checked that says "Send Pictures with messages: is checked; it must
be checked!

If you are getting red x's on all your trailing stationery, you will need to download the dll file and follow the directions below:
